About Soraya

Soraya has been the best thing that happened to our family. This is no exaggeration! She began working as a nanny when our son was 11 months old, and stayed with us till he was 3 . The only reason we had to let Soraya go was because our son was starting pre-school. We met Soraya after we went through an exhausting process of going through 3 nannies who had many years of experience but were rigid in their approach of childcare, and did not exhibit the warmth we were hoping for. The first day when Soraya met our family, we knew she was going to be a keeper. She exuded a natural connection and warmth with our little guy. She made him smile and laugh instantly, and he took an immediate liking to her. Throughout the 2 years that Soraya worked with us full time, she was respectful, extremely caring, efficient, cautious in all the right ways, and most importantly, she was genuinely loving. Soraya engaged our son in so many creative ways, including various indoor and outdoor play, reading, and doing other activities like cooking, pretend play and much more. She also helped with changing, feeding, putting him down for naps, and also helping keep our house stay organized while my son was napping. Soraya also spoke primarily Spanish as a Colombian native, but the language differences were hardly a barrier. In fact, we are so grateful that our son is now fluent in Spanish (and my husband and I also picked up a lot of it from her). I trusted Soraya blindly with my son, and over the years, she has become like family to us. We still remain in contact with her, and my son loves to see her routinely. Words are simply not enough to praise Soraya. I strongly recommend her to any family, and hope that she finds a home where she also feels the same joy to care for as she did with us.
