About Sophie

Hi! I'm Sophie, a 21-year-old student at Virginia Commonwealth University. I'm majoring in Psychology with two minors, one in Sociology and Instructional Design and Technology. I love working with children and enjoy providing them with a safe, entertaining, and nurturing environment. I believe children thrive best when they feel heard and respected. I have over 6 years of paid experience working with kids between the ages of 4 and 13. I also worked 2 summers as a camp counselor for children ages 6 to 12. In my free time I enjoy working out, cooking, reading, and hiking. I feel confident in the kitchen and am happy to help out with meal prep and cleaning around the house. Safety is something I find extremely important, I'm Red Cross certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED use. My usual starting rate is $25 per hour but I am flexible.
