About Sophie

Hi, my name is Sophie. I am originally from Duluth, Minnesota, but moved to Patrick Henry College in Purcellville for college. Since coming out to Virginia, I have worked as a date night sitter for a dozen families, a full-time summer nanny, a overnight weekend nanny, and an after-school nanny. My three little brothers and all the other kids I have watched over the years have provided me with tons of experience. Since I have been babysitting for quite a while, I have encountered so many different types of kids, behavior issues, learning styles, and personalities. I love figuring out a child's personality and being able to connect with them in a way that works for them. My goal as a nanny or babysitter is to create a comfortable, safe, fun-filled environment that reinforces the parents rules and family expectations. I want to help the kids, and by that the family, grow by playing, exploring, and discovering new things for themselves, not just plopping them in front of a TV or computer.
