About Sophie

Hello! My name is sophie and I have always loved and had a passion for caring for children. From helping out in church nurseries since I was 10 to volunteering as an assistant coach for the YMCA Catalinas swimming team, I am always looking for opportunities to help nurture and grow their understanding and wonder of the world around them. Personally, my favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, baking, cooking, reading, and finding hole-in-the-wall breakfast spots wherever I go. I could spend hours in a bookstore and even longer in an antique store, especially with a coffee. I love being outside and always prefer that to watching tv or a tablet (although I do know when to reward good behavior). I am able to have a firm hand while maintaining an environment of fun and safety, and have never had any complaints from the kids (except when it's time for me to go haha).
