About Sophie

My name is Sophie and I'm Haitian-American and bilingual. In addition, I know a few basic Spanish words as I worked in a diverse preschool and often had second language learners. I attended a vocational high school and decided that studying an aspect of the health field would be the best opportunity for me. After testing it out I discovered healthcare was not my calling. I love working with and being around children and I believed that that was the path I should take. I later attended college where I majored in developmental psychology and minored in child development. I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions I've made in my career. I graduated in 2014 and began working at a preschool. In 2016, I began working at a preschool in another company and was later promoted to lead teacher in 2018 where I worked for 3 years. I am currently a part time babysitter. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my family, travel out of state, and enjoy playing sports.
