About Sophie

Hi! I'm Sophie, a career nanny based in the Portland metro area with 5+ years experience caring for children from infancy through preschool age. I've been babysitting since I was 13 and began professional nannying in 2020. Before that, I spent five years as a synchronized swimming coach, working with athletes ages 5 to 75. That taught me patience, strong communication, and how to tailor support to each individual-skills I use in every childcare role. I bring a calm, consistent presence and pride myself on creating a safe, loving environment where kids can thrive. I'm confident with all things infant and toddler-naps, bottles, solids, big feelings, and milestones. I also enjoy working with older kids and supporting their growth through creativity, consistency, and connection. One of my longtime nanny kids is transitioning to pre-K in mid-September, so I'll have Tuesday/Thursday/Friday availability opening up.
