Hello! My name is Sophie and I am a NYS Certified Earth and Space Science teacher. I was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Buffalo before becoming a teacher, so I have a range of science skills I use to help you and your student reach your goals. I enjoy tutoring because while I am a teacher during the year, it is nice to get one-on-one time with students that I don't get during the year! It helps me remember that all students learn differently and ut makes me a better teacher. One thing you should know about me is I actually have a PhD in Earth Science! I love teaching so much that I left research because I wanted to share my passion with students. I get to teach all subjects in Earth science, where in research you get very specialized. I enjoy staying connected to the latest research and sharing it with my students!
