About Sophia

I'd describe my personality as loyal, brave, and straightforward. I like working with kids because they make life interesting. I learn so much from them! They have a unique perspective on life that is refreshing. I'm looking for a job that is flexible with open and honest communication. I started working with kids in middle school as a babysitter and tutor. In my spare time, I like to sing, read, and explore the great outdoors. I also love travelling and studied abroad in four different countries. One thing you should know about me is I have been a professional tutor/teacher for the last three years! Now I work as a Hiring Manager for Firefly Tutors, which is not very active in the summer, so I am looking for extra income. Also, I majored in Mandarin Chinese in college and initially got my start in tutoring/teaching in Mandarin. I would love to teach your kids a few words or phrases! My skills include patience, empathy, and assertiveness.
