About Sophia

Hello! My name is Sophia, and I have been working as a caregiver for my grandparents and great aunt since 2020, all having dementia and Alzheimer's. The day to day work schedule consisted of, preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and dinners- including assisting with medication and bathroom needs as well as bathing needs. In between my one on one duties, I did light house keeping and ran errands ex. Groceries, medication pick up and doctor appointments. Furthermore, I provided companion services and care, playing card games, board games and physical therapy. Before I saw this as a future career, I wanted to make sure my grandparents got the best care. During my years, I've watched the mental decline, and I knew many families would be experiencing the same emotional distress that I see everyday. I fell in love with the profession because I wanted to expand the love I have to families looking for someone to put their trust into to share their family members lives with.
