About Sophia

I like working with animals because I've always felt a natural connection to them. There's a quiet understanding between humans and animals that doesn't rely on words, and I find that really powerful. Working with them gives me a sense of peace and fulfillment--knowing I'm making a difference in their lives, even in small ways. I've been working with animals for about four years now, starting when I began volunteering at an animal shelter in Johnston. Even with that being said, I have many animals of my own as well. I'm a college student, and in my free time, I like to stay active and creative. I enjoy hiking, especially when I need a break from screens and studying. I also spend a lot of time reading, painting, and cooking--those are my favorite ways to relax and express myself.
