About Sophia

Hi, I'm Sophie, I'm a 30-year-old mother with the heart of a child. I have a daughter who is 5, as well as nieces and nephews whose ages range from 5-14 whom I've taken care of since they were infants. I've also cared for my autistic cousin from ages 4-10. I'm a reliable individual who loves to be silly and craft. I also love being outdoors and active, reading, coloring, and learning new things. My top priority is safety! While maintaining safety, I encourage children to get creative with any activity presented by asking open ended questions. I limit the amount of screen time to ensure minds are engaged and active. I'm very passionate about educating kids on emotions and how to navigate them. Naming emotions, talking about feelings, and finding a way to process emotions are some ways I help kids to understand themselves. I'm a naturally empathetic person, which is why teaching emotions is just as important as teaching kindness and safety for me.
