About Sophia

Hi! My name is Sophia, and I'm a freshman at SUNY Cortland majoring in Inclusive Childhood Education. I'm passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. I have several years of babysitting and tutoring experience, including working one-on-one with a child with Down syndrome, which strengthened my patience, adaptability, and communication skills. I also volunteered for three years at Camp Anchor and worked at a local school camp, supervising groups of up to 30 children while ensuring safety and leading activities. I'm comfortable working with children ages 5 through pre-teens and enjoy helping with homework, creative play, and social development. I'm responsible, patient, energetic, and skilled at multitasking. I have reliable transportation, flexible hours, and I'm seeking a part-time summer position.
