My experience with children are with my own children, 3 boys. Now they are grown up and forming their families. I worked for 11 years at a public school. The last 8 years I was assigned to work in kindergartens. I was a Teacher Assistant (Para Professional Certified) morning and afternoon half day at a public school. My tasks as a teacher's assistant were helping with the teacher's instruction and care of 18-20 children. My responsibilities with children were their security, snacks, buses accommodation, parents communication, classroom material and teaching when the teacher was absent or out of the classroom. My childcare experience in the past 10 years is with 5 different families working with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Additional task teach Spanish is the family is agree.

I met Sophia through Care.com over 7 years ago. I hired her just before my daughter's 1st birthday. She was not only our Nanny for nearly 7 years, but also an integral and important part of our family. As a single Mother, Sophia essentially was my daughter's second Mom. She helped me raise my daughter giving her unconditional love, protection, and guidance as months turned into years and my baby grew into a young girl. Sophia worked for me both part time and full time over the years. She traveled with my family during the Summers. If either I or my daughter was sick, Sophia was just a phone call away. Despite Sophia not being in our lives on a daily basis anymore, I know that my daughter is who she is today in large part to Sophia's care-giving. There is no doubt that we will continue to be a part of each other's lives throughout the years. Any family who is fortunate enough to connect with Sophia, will find they are hiring much more than a sitter or a nanny. She is a rare gem.
