Hello, My name is Sophia and I am interested to apply for this position. My experience with children started with my own children, 3 boys. Now they are grown up and forming their families. I worked for 11 years at a public school. The last 8 years I was assigned to work in kindergartens. I was a Teacher Assistant (Para Professional Certified) in a public school. My childcare experience in the past 14 years is with 6 different families working specifically with infants but also toddlers and preschoolers. I have my Infant - CPR & First-Aid certification. I took some Early Childhood Development Classes. I do speak Spanish and I do have excellent references too. I had being working in Weston, Wellesley, Natick and Framingham in the past 14 years. I can’t express how incredibly grateful we are to have had Sophia part of our family the last 3.5 yrs. She started as a full-time nanny with our 4 mo old son & helping afterschool with our daughter. I can confidently say that our son’s personality has been shaped by Sophia’s calm, kind, attentive and fun nature. A few great things about Sophia: Communication: shares photos and videos of the kids everyday. Uses text mostly to share updates and communicate schedule needs. She’s always attentive and quick to respond. Attentive/safety: Sophia prioritizes her attention on the kids, is never on her phone and always anticipating the next thing. She lets the kids have fun, get dirty and explore, but is clear about how to do it safely. She loves getting the kids (ant all ages) outside, to playgrounds, library, activities, etc. Light housework: She can multitask and anticipates needs. She unloads dishwasher, laundry and has done food prep and cooking for us. She’s a great cook! Reliable: Sophia is extremely reliable. She rarely gets sick & has reliable transportation. She is also a great driver and we have felt comfortable with her taking the kids all over in our van. Overnight/travel: Sophia has traveled with us on occasion and she’s on top of kid care the entire time. Sophia has a positive attitude, goes with the the flow and doesn’t let much bother her. She is easy to talk with and everyone loves her, our kids especially. But also our friend’s kids and their parents. She’s known as a great nanny in our community!
