About Sophia

Hi! My name is Sophia and I am a recent graduate of SIU Carbondale with a degree in Forestry. I am passionate about the outdoors and hands-on learning. I have worked at summer camps and in a middle school classroom and I love working with kids. I am currently seeking a part time or full time regular nannying job as I build my career in forestry. I have experience working as a camp counselor in a no technology camp, this included living in a cabin with campers and making sure their daily needs were being met, as well as instructing on various outdoor activities. I have also worked with the Boys and Girls Club assisting in after school STEM programs. I am happy to help out with other needs in the household, including cooking and cleaning. I am proficient in Spanish and am comfortable in a bi-lingual household. In my spare time, I like to play mandolin, crochet, and hike!
