About Sophia

I have a heart for teaching and care for students of all ages. I am highly organized and I love learning of all kinds. I believe learning is hands on and should include fresh air and play time as well. I am a college professor (I teach English and Interpersonal Relationship Building) and I have been a fitness and sports coach for the past 10 years. I have provided instruction for ages 16mos to 80yrs old in many arenas and modalities. Teaching is my passion and I apply care, discipline and dignity to all my lessons. I have had the privilege of living and traveling around the world and I bring these experiences with me to the classroom as well. My goal is to provide structure and consistency to the home-classroom while supporting parents and their choices. I currently live in the Mat Su Valley/Anchorage area during the fall/winter/spring and transition to Denali for late spring/summer. I would need a job opportunity that accommodates this schedule.
