About Sophia

I started working with children around age 14 by babysitting younger kids, and I've continued gaining childcare experience ever since. During my senior year of high school, I worked as a teacher's aide for first-grade and kindergarten P. E. classes, where we taught music and fun sports. I also had the opportunity to substitute teach at my town's elementary school, working with preschool, first-grade, and fifth-grade students. I was a lifeguard throughout high school and taught children swimming lessons each summer. At 18, I also worked as an au pair/travel nanny for a young boy in Turkey. I genuinely enjoy working with children and helping them feel supported. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and can assist with homework, household tasks, emotional support, and helping children communicate through problems. I am currently a college student, so I'm looking for a childcare position with flexible hours that can work alongside my class schedule.
