About Sophia

Hi there! My name is Sophia, I'm an 18-year-old college student currently home for the summer in New York. With over 2 years of paid childcare experience, and nearly 1000 hours of childcare-related volunteer experience anywhere from camp counseling to dual language tutoring and even caring for newborns in the NICU, I am a well qualified and experienced candidate for your childcare needs. I'm certified in first aid, CPR, and psychological first aid (Crisis intervention and trauma care). I am proficient in both English and Spanish, with some experience and basic skills in ASL. I absolutely love working with kiddos and families and don't mind helping out with other general needs as well such as cooking, housework, and pet care. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, kind, silly. In my spare time, I love working on my e-commerce art business, painting acrylic pieces and selling them! I also love gardening, kayaking, and playing instruments!
