About Sophia

My name is Sophia, I'm from Mahopac New York and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at University at Albany with experience in childcare and pet care. I am seeking opportunities to apply strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. I have 5 years of experience in babysitting a special needs child aged 7-12yrs old and I have volunteered at Green Chimneys in Brewster NY, where I supported staff in working with children in a structured, therapeutic environment, assisted with daily activities and supervision, helped maintain a safe and positive atmosphere, and developed strong communication and patience skills while working with youth. I would describe myself as paitent, compassionate, hardworking, and reliable. I look foward to working over the summer to gain more experience in pet care because taking care of animals is rewarding to me because I like helping them stay happy, comfortable, and well-looked after!
