About Sophia

Hello! My name is Sophia. I am a 19-year-old university student at UP, where I have earned the distinction of Powell Scholar-- a title given to 14 in my class for our leadership and academic successes. I earned a 4. 32 cumulative GPA in high school and scored a 33 in the International Baccalaureate program. I have a passion and talent for English, but also enjoy and succeed at math up to pre-calculus, as well as the health sciences (as a Health & Exercise Science major). I can help with various other subjects and skills. I have both paid and volunteer tutoring experience, and depending on the course, I can tutor up through high school. Some kids need a little extra help-- we all do at some point! I try to make tutoring feel normal and engaging, as I have tutored people who have been embarrassed by the fact that they need tutoring. It's impossible to be perfect at everything, and I enjoy providing a little extra support to those who need it!
