About Sophia

Hello! My name is Sophia and I have 4-5 years of hands on experience caring for children from newborns to early teens. I've worked closely with families, creating safe, engaging, and nurturing environments for kids of all ages. In addition to my babysitting experience, I also spent 3 seasons working as a counselor at the Kroc Center summer camp. I also had the opportunity to step in as an educator during COVID for the children I looked after for those few months. Both these roles helped me develop strong skills in structure, creativity, and management in fun educational ways. I also have a background as a youth softball coach, which has strengthened my ability to mentor, and build confidence in kids. Currently I work as a receptionist in the OBGYN department at Sharp Rees-Stealy while pursuing my Master's in Teaching. My long-term goal is to build a career working with children, and I see every childcare opportunity as a meaningful step toward becoming the best educator I can be.
