About Sonia

I cared for my Grandmother in the last year of her life, and through that process came to realize the deep tenderness involved in end-of-life companionship. I'll never forget the way - towards the very end - my grandmother would sit up from resting and ask me to brush her hair. Somehow it felt like most honest conversation we'd ever had. I have 60+ hours of hospice volunteer training with Providence Hospice in Seattle, and am comfortable accommodating/helping to manage a spectrum of geriatric challenges. I've volunteered in several nursing homes with patients who were in the later stages of dementia. I consider it an honor to support and witness elders in their journey of metamorphosis. I am thrilled by any opportunity to bridge generational gaps and see to it that the wisdom of our elders is received and embodied by younger generations.
