About Sonia

I am a Columbia University graduate with a BA in psychology and a concentration in education. I have experience with children both in professional as well as personal settings. Currently I am an assistant teacher in a prekindergarten classroom as well as a tutor at a learning center. Before the pandemic, I was an assistant teacher in an infant room at a preschool. I have worked previously as a teacher in daycare classrooms as well as in the elementary school setting. In the past I've worked as a tutor and as the associate director of education at a learning center where I tutored students from kindergarten through high school in various subjects which included reading, writing, math and study skills. I have also tutored children privately in reading and math. I am the mother of six children ranging in ages from 10 to 23 years of age. I would love the opportunity to tutor and/or care for your child as I treat each child as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you!
