Sonam helped our family take care of my 100-year-old grandmother until her recent passing. He is by far the best caregiver we had. He deeply saw my granny’s needs and attended to her in a way that honored her independence and preserved her dignity. He was with her as a live-in caregiver as she had fallen and with a hip replacement 3 days before 100th birthday needed 24/7 care. Sonam helped her with walking again by motivating her and playing to her strengths and she walked again for another year +. He knows the details of the job: blood pressure monitoring, transfers, showering, medication management under doctor’s care, and the various little nuances of how to make a senior’s life easier and more pleasant. But, it was not his mastery of the mechanics of the job, it was his calm, warm, and deeply kind approach to granny’s care and his ability to see her, that stands out. Granny loved him and she was lucky that he was with her until her final breath. As the one who managed granny’s care, I already miss Sonam, his daily summaries, our talks about what to do for granny, etc. and I miss learning from his wisdom. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
