About Somer

I graduated high school last year and now currently plan to attend college to pursue a degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education starting next fall. I developed a strong passion for child development in my senior year. I unfortunately lack experience in caring for children on my own. However, over the years I have been trusted by family to watch over my younger siblings, cousins, nieces/nephews, etc. I have a more laid back personality, and I try my best to be professional and remain calm in any situation. I talk to most children as if they are one of my friends. I will make sure that they know that I am the person in charge, but to also feel comfortable enough with me. I feel more comfortable caring for newborns/infants up to 24 months, but i'm very willing to step out of my comfort zone :) I understand that parents have a preferred way of doing things or a set schedule for their children, and I am 100% willing to comply with that.
