About Sofia

I've spent the past three years working as a nurse's aide at St. Joseph Hospital, and each day has deepened my passion for caring for others. While I'm currently waiting to be accepted into the nursing program, I already feel so honored to be part of my patients' lives. What I love most about my job is helping people in their most vulnerable moments, offering not just care, but comfort. Aging can feel like losing pieces of ourselves, like control slipping through our fingers. If I can help someone feel safe, seen, and even a little more like themselves again, then I know I've done something meaningful. Anyone can cook or clean, but true empathy, the kind that reminds someone they're still valued and loved, is something I carry in my heart every day.
