About Sofia

My journey working with kids began as a Vacation Bible School teacher, where I led classrooms of young children through fun, faith-based lessons, games, and crafts. Following that, I worked for City of Turlock, where I contributed to both the summer camp and after-school program. During this time, I was responsible for supervising large groups of children, organizing a variety of activities that ranged from outdoor to indoor activities ensuring every child felt included, safe, and inspired. My role required strong communication skills, quick problem-solving, and an understanding of how to keep kids of all ages engaged and excited throughout the day. I've developed strategies to maintain structure and fun simultaneously. I am also fluent in Spanish, which allows me to connect more easily with bilingual families. I would be more than happy to assist with homework and I'm always willing to help with light housework to make things run more smoothly for families.
