I am an expert maths tutor, that graduated from the City College of New York with a B. Eng. Biomedical Engineer in 2019. I have been teaching private math classes since early 2015, working with a diverse student population ranging from elementary school students to high schoolers studying for SATs and subject tests. I take my time to carefully explain and break down content in a way that is palatable because I feel that many students are intimidated by the style of standardized tests. I love to integrate life events with what I teach so my students can relate more to the materials covered. When I am not teaching, I read manga, play video games, or code.

It was a pleasure having Sobur as a student in my classroom. In the Spring semester of 2014 at BMCC, Mr. Carim was an excellent student in Critical Thinking 100. His enthusiasm and dedication were evident from the beginning. He participated actively in classroom discussion and completed all of his reading and writing assignments. Moreover, I was constantly impressed by Sobur's high level of self-reflection and the depth of his critical cultural self-examination, both of which I believe will serve Mr. Carim well in his academic endeavors. In addition, Sobur took independent initiative in assisting other students in the class, acting as a role-model in various activities.
