I have a cat and a dog! I have had my dog for 10 years and my cat for 6. Both my parents are gone a lot and so I had to learn independence quickly, especially with the animals! I would also pet sit friends cats or dogs when they needed it. I specifically would dog sit and would take the dog out to the beach, park, walks, and play. I would follow the parents specific feeding times and other instructions as needed. I love taking care of cats because they are so easy going. When I care for cats, I usually spend time with the cat and feed them per instructions. I would clean the litter box as needed as well.
