About Skyler

Hi! I'm Sky, a Columbia graduate student with over 10 years of childcare experience. I started babysitting children in my apartment building when I was 13 and have continued working with kids and teens in a variety of settings ever since. I've worked as a camp counselor with children ages 3-12 and currently have experience working with adolescents through my Columbia social work field placement. I'm comfortable with children of different ages and personalities and can help with homework, meals, activities, school pickups, bedtime routines, and general supervision. I'm warm, responsible, patient, and genuinely enjoy getting to know the kids I work with. I'm also trained as a NYS mandated reporter and have a background in psychology, which has given me a strong understanding of child development and emotional needs.
