About Skylar

Empowering students to find joy in discovery is at the heart of my teaching practice. I believe that true academic success stems from building confidence rather than relying on rote memorization. During our sessions, I actively listen and observe how you interact with new material, allowing me to adapt my approach through visual aids, hands-on activities, or collaborative discussions. When we encounter complex concepts, I break them into manageable steps and connect the material to your personal interests to keep you engaged. I prioritize clear, consistent communication with both you and your parents to ensure we are always working toward your goals. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a challenging topic finally clicks is the most rewarding part of my work. I hold CPR training and First Aid certifications. I look forward to supporting your growth and celebrating every milestone we achieve together.
