I have loved animals from a young age, particularly dogs. As a child, from probably 8 years onward, I would take any opportunity to dog-sit. I haven't dog-sat or dog-walked professionally. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, largely jazz as of late. Weather permitting, I enjoy hiking and birdwatching. My skills include: Attentiveness - undivided attention to my client, observation and anticipation of their needs. Patience - I find it very important to be gentle with all animals, maintaining behavioral boundaries with them while being fully respectful of the animal's personal nuances. Engagement - if I'm spending time with an animal, I don't want him/her to be bored or understimulated! I want to figure out what they like and let them have fun, while maintaining safety awareness.
