About Skylar

While I am from the East Coast, I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley in Global Studies (functional concentration in Peace + Conflict, regional concentration in MENA) and Legal Studies. I have been living in NYC for nearly two years and have been watching two girls (now 5 and 2) once a week for the past year and a half and am looking to babysit for other families ad hoc. I was a Camp Director for KE Camps at Orinda Country Club where I ran and organized all activities for a group of 4-8-year-olds. I grew up babysitting my three younger siblings in addition to many other children and have two summers worth of life guarding experience. In Berkeley, I served as a co-learner to 6th-8th grade girls* at Willard Middle School where I taught students about social justice topics surrounding organization, advocacy, and solidarity, specifically focusing on housing and food insecurity in the Oakland area.
