Sinead has been an absolute blessing to our family. We truly cannot express how thankful we are to have found her.  Her sweet and loving nature made our son feel cherished, and she treated him as if he were her own. Sinead’s outings to the park and library and engaging activities added so much joy to his days. We couldn't have asked for a better nanny. Her dedication and genuine care made a lasting impression on us. We wish she could have stayed with us forever!  

Sinead is everything I have prayed for and more in a Nanny! I am a mother of 2 boys, a 2 year old and 8 month old. Prior to Sinead I had not left either of them with anyone other then family. Once I met Sinead my heart and mind were put to ease and I feel so comfortable leaving my boys. Sinead goes above and beyond and is always one step ahead. Sinead is amazing! She started helping us out when our little one was 3 months old and we were having lots of fussiness and nap issues. Sinead was an absolute life saver! She knew exactly what to do and completely turned our lives around for the better. She was so sweet and loved our little one so much, and it showed! Our little one loved spending time with her and we came to see her as a trusted friend. We wish could have hired her permanently! She is worth every penny :)

Sinead worked for my family approximately 10 years ago when my children were 5 and 7 years old.    We were thrilled to find such a lovely lady to care for our children. Sinead was prompt, kind, and truly cared for our children's well being.  For Sinead it was not just a job.    She would arrive daily at 8:00am and always came with a plan of activities .    The children looked forward to her arrival because they knew their day would be fun-filled.     Trips to area outdoor parks, playgrounds, movie theaters and water Parks were some Of the highlights the children enjoyed.

With my children was ultimately the reason she left our employ.   Although I was happy with my return to the home.... I must admit, my children were not as thrilled.   They loved Sinead because she brought fun!    Any family would be lucky to employ Sinead to care for their children .

Sinead has been with us from the time our son was 5 to 18 mos, ending only because she is moving. We have so many great things to say, but first and foremost our son was always safe and well cared for with Sinead. During covid she has been diligent about masking, distancing, and hand washing to keep our son safe. She is very communicative, and if our son ever had a rash, didn't drink enough water, or had a bug bite bump or anything she would bring it to our attention and make sure we kept an eye on it. 

Our son became a great eater and sleeper on Sinead's watch. He is extremely curious and active from Sinead's interaction with him and the outings they go on. She would also suggest new toys/activities/food/etc. which we really appreciated as new parents. 

Our son just clearly loves being with Sinead. We were working from home so got to see it quite a bit. She got him to listen, but he also had a ton of fun and learned a lot. We've been so lucky to have had her this year!

Sinead has been taking care of our twins for almost 2 years,  since they were 4 months old.  Their safety and well being has always been her primary concern.  We have a busy household with lots of comings and goings and she adjusted well.  With the changes in our work-home routine caused by COVID-19, she adjusted with no issues and kept the twins content and safe with way more activity in the house.  Her love for the kids and ability to handle different scenarios are her best attributes.  We are very grateful for all the things she did for our twins and family.

We interviewed Sinead and she was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, experienced, and professional, and also incredibly kind and personable. Any family would be lucky to have her!

Sinead worked for our family for nearly three years, first taking care of our oldest in a nanny share.  when our baby girl came two years later, first she took care of her with the toddler, and then she took care of her alone.  Sinead was an excellent care giver, and really became part of the family.  She arrived promptly every day and was excellent at establishing sleeping and eating schedules for the kids, which was helpful at the time but grew to be more and more valuable over time than I even appreciated at first!  She sought out fun activities around town, managed to get two and then three kids to classes we'd signed them up for, and made fun friends for play dates,  She was very good at listening to what we , as parents, wanted for the kids, but also knew when to gently guide us in a direction that she recommended based on her experience.  Our happy, healthy kids are better having had Sinead as their nanny!

We have had the pleasure of working with Sinead for the last two and a half years and could not be happier with the care she has provided for our children.  She started working as a nanny for us and another family in a nanny share when our kids were only 3 months old and continued until both were over two and headed off to preschool.  She now cares for both families' second children.  Unfortunately, we are moving to the West Coast and Sinead is looking for a new family to work for.  We will be so sad to say good bye!  

Sinead is excellent with children of all ages.  When we first hired her, we interviewed numerous potential nannies and she had, by far, the most experience.  When our children were infants, she worked with us to get them on a good sleeping and eating schedule and was very conscientious about supporting my efforts on the breastfeeding front - always texting to check when I would be home so that feedings would be timed right.  As the children got older she was great about getting them out of the house every day for different adventures - to the playground, museums, the zoo, the library, or classes.  She prepared them healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks every day and was proactive about setting up play dates with other kids in the neighborhood.  She has tons of energy and the kids were excited every day to be with her.  

Sinead has been far more than just a nanny she has become a member of the family.  Our kids simply adore her.  She is constantly sending updates and pictures of the kids enjoying their day, which is so nice when you re stuck at the office missing their faces! We would be happy to recommend her to any family looking for an extremely qualified nanny in DC.

Sinead brought her young charges to a weekly toddler class that I teach at the Edlavitch DCJCC.  For over a year, I had the opportunity to see her in action with the two toddlers in her nanny share.  Then when one of the children got a new baby sister, I observed her taking care of two 2-year-olds AND an infant.  She is patient, loving, firm when needed, extremely engaged in the children's growth/development/education, and expert at juggling the needs of multiple children and babies.  I have been working with toddlers and their caregivers for 9 years, and she is one of the best I have seen.

I interviewed Sinead for a position with our family. She was great - very responsive, very easy to talk to, seemed like she would be wonderful to work with. I interviewed her when we were considering a nanny share and would have had the budget to cover her salary requirements (which are market rate, and she seems totally worth it (if not more)) but we ended up just hiring a nanny for our own family, so unfortunately budget-wise things didn't work out. I think she'd be a great nanny for another family though!

Sinead took care of our two girls for almost four years. While my friends were going through one nanny after the next, we were lucky that we never had that issue with Sinead. The girls loved her (and do to this day, over 10 years from when Sinead first started working with us) and we were very grateful to have someone who was kind, caring, dependable and helpful with the girls.

Sinead has been our nanny since April of 2012 when our twins were just weeks old.  We are sad to be letting her go, but the kids will be starting school in February.  I could not recommend her more highly.  She is a real pro.  The kids love her.  She has been a joy to work with - a real partner in raising our twins.  Very respectful of our parenting wishes.  Highly dependable.  Don't miss out on having her become part of your family!  You won't regret it!
