My experience with animals is life experience as opposed to any formal training. I have an 11-year-old cat and grew up with birds (two cockatiels) and a cat. I spent a fair bit of time with my brother's animals (2 dogs, 2 cats and an African Grey parrot) and have kept them for upwards of a month when he traveled. I have been working for 8 year now as a nanny/home organizer for a family that has three dogs, 1 gecko and at one point a rabbit who passed away. I have been petsitting for them regularly when needed. Two of the dogs have healths issues (one due to old age) so often I am on high-alert monitoring their behavior, administering medication, and taking them to vet. I have picked up poop, blended up food for the older one, washed bottoms, cleaned up vomit--all the things that really certify someone as a true pet caregiver!
