About Simmon

Hi! My name is Simmon, and I'm a college student at Columbia University. I'm a responsible, patient, and energetic person who enjoys working with children and helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident. I have experience working with and mentoring younger children through private Taiko lessons, where I created age-appropriate activities and helped students develop coordination, confidence, and new skills. I've also worked with younger athletes through tennis programs and have experience supporting children with special needs and different individual needs, adapting my approach to help each child feel comfortable and included. I enjoy keeping kids engaged through games, creative activities, music, outdoor activities, and learning. I speak English and Japanese fluently and also have professional working proficiency in Spanish. I'm dependable, attentive, patient, and believe every child deserves to feel respected and encouraged.!
