About Sierra

Hello! My name is Sierra, and I am a Mountain View-based UCSC student home for the summer. I absolutely adore being around kids and am hoping to find babysitting opportunities through the end of August. About me: I am studying Cognitive Science and plan to pursue a neurodiversity diagnoses path, specifically focusing on children with Autism, ADHD, or other learning disabilities. I have a lot of practice both spending time with and learning about the importance of regulatory behavior strategies and imaginative play in neurodivergent kids. I am also very creative and love arts and crafts, stories, and playing-genuinely, I can enter the land of imagination very easily. My experience with kids includes classic 1:1 babysitting, working with grade schoolers as a returning camp counselor, working as a TA through CalTeach Internship studying curriculum development/teaching strategy, and I have also spent the past 2 summers teaching parent-child gymnastics classes at The Little Gym.
