About Sierra

I'm a dedicated first grade teacher with over seven years of experience helping young learners build strong academic foundations. I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, along with a background in mathematics, STEM education, and a minor in English as a Second Language. I specialize in supporting students in kindergarten through third grade in strengthening their reading and math skills. I have extensive experience in phonemic awareness, phonics, and early literacy, using research-based strategies to help students become confident readers. My background in language development allows me to effectively support diverse learners. In math, I focus on building deep understanding through hands-on, engaging instruction. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and set students up for long-term success.
