About Siera

I am an experienced writing coach and academic mentor with 13 years of experience in academia, managing social science research agendas. I have extensive experience leading workshops on writing, research, and professional development for early career academics. I hold a Master's degree from New York University and a Bachelor's degree from Brown University, both in Media and Cultural Studies. What makes me a great tutor is my ability to meet students where they are, break complex ideas into clear and manageable steps, and help them build confidence in their own abilities. My background of in research, writing, and education allows me to adapt to different learning styles while fostering both subject mastery and critical thinking skills. In my spare time, I like to hike, run, read, and do yoga.
