About Sienna

Hi there! Childcare is my passion :) I'm currently a lead toddler teacher, with experience working with children from infancy to age 8. My teaching philosophy is centered around encouraging autonomy, emotional regulation, and learning through play. Giving children the words/signs to express themselves and tools to understand their emotions is extremely important to me. I believe that as a teacher, it is not my job to control children, but to respect them as individuals and guide them through problem-solving and exploration as a more-knowledgeable, helping hand! I love creating opportunities for them to engage in messy, interactive play, including sensory activities, process art, and fine motor exploration! I'm currently studying human development and family science at OSU. I'm CPR and first aid certified and have completed trainings on safe sleep, foundations for learning, and much more. I find so much joy and magic in watching children learn, explore, and reach new milestones.
