That experience taught me more than any certification could. I'm calm, reliable, and easy to be around. I handle personal care, healthy meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance. I'm comfortable with pets, keep a tidy space, and don't mind rolling up my sleeves for light cleaning and organizing. I also enjoy encouraging light exercise and staying active - a short walk or simple stretching can do a lot for someone's day. When I'm not working, I hike, read, cook, draw, and sew. Shure took care of my mother for almost a year. My Mom w/ a dementia loved her dearly. She developed a special diet for her & she is a great cook. She helped w/ PT, & movement around her home. She did her hair every day & gave her a great care.
