About Shoshana

Hi Families! I'm Shoshana, a recent Master's student at the University of Chicago. I started working with kids in high school and have since been a teacher's aide in Los Angeles, an after-school aide, a babysitter, and an au pair in Paris and Italy. Working in schools across different socioeconomic communities showed me how differently children experience the world. I've also developed literacy programs for children from immigrant families facing language barriers at school. I'm interested in child psychology, especially how kids think, what catches their attention, and how they develop their own interests and personalities. Outside work, I'm an animal lover, badminton enthusiast, and amateur cook and baker. I love being outdoors, exploring new places, and learning languages. My French is rusty, my Spanish needs work, and my German is a work in progress. I'm a California native who thinks a sunny day, a good sandwich, and a dog nearby make for the best day.
