I took care of an 88-year-old gentleman who had short term memory loss. I would take him to his doctors' appointments and any other appointments that he needed to go to. We walked as often as we could. I would make sure he ordered a good healthy meal. When he rested in the afternoon in his recliner I would play oldies music for him to listen to, he liked Frank Sinatra. I didn't feel like this was a job, I felt like I was taking care of someone in my own family. I made sure he kept in contact with his friends and took him to his church which had a senior luncheon every month. It was a joy taking care of him. I love to help people and feel that I have a special calling for the elderly. Thank you.
