About Shikia

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is my primary passion. With three years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, Science, and Special Education. I believe every child learns differently, so I actively listen and observe to tailor my approach, whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or collaborative discussions. By breaking complex problems into manageable steps and connecting lessons to personal interests, I help students build lasting confidence. I prioritize open communication with parents to ensure we are aligned in supporting your child's unique journey. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks is what makes this work so deeply rewarding for me. I am happy to meet at your home, my home, or the library to create a supportive environment where your child can thrive. I look forward to helping your student discover how much they are truly capable of achieving.
