Experience: 27 yrs
Bringing joy and comfort to seniors is my calling. For the past 20+ years, I've dedicated myself to providing compassionate home health care. I'm patient, empathetic, and strive to be a friendly face for those I assist. I'm experienced in respite care, transportation, errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and mobility assistance. I'm also comfortable with dementia care, including de-escalating stressful situations and incorporating memory care activities. I provide personal care, medical management, and physical activity assistance. I communicate with families through daily reports and verbal updates, always respecting their preferred method. I have some college education, CPR Training, and First Aid Training. Respecting a client's independence is always my priority. Having a car and being comfortable with pets allows me to better serve you.
Sherri H. cared for my mother this past 2 1/2 years. Since we live far away, I could always count on Sherri to be proactive in my mom's care and let me know when there were issues. She is always prompt and most times even early for her shifts. She has compassion and true caring for my mother which allowed me to continue my life. She took care of all of mom's needs including hygiene maintenance, meal prep, laundry, housework, doctor appointments, shopping, hair cuts, companionship and so the list goes. She is dependable and kind, always putting her client first. She's been in this business for over 25 years and knows how to handle all kinds of challenges including dementia. She is good at monitoring blood sugars, heart rate and o2 levels. She's very proactive at noticing and monitoring health concerns. She has super strength and stamina during a crisis. We are sad to loose Sherri as a caregiver since my mother passed away recently, but we will always consider her a dear friend of the family.
