I worked as a CNA in a skilled nursing home for 10 years, and currently in private home care for the last 3 1/2 years. I have provided continuity of care for many residents with a wide variety of ailments including, but not limited to, dementia, Alzheimer, Parkinson disease, congestive heart failure, stroke, and more. As a CNA I have have also worked in the restorative area which collaborates directly with the therapy department. As a Restorative CNA, I assist residents with feeding difficulties, range of motion, ambulation, strength rebuilding, and applying splints and therapy devices. I enjoy working with the elderly although I have worked with young adults as well. Everyone has a story and a purpose and I love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and being a positive influence on an often difficult day. When my children were young I was a self employed housekeeper as well and I am also available to provide that service.
