Experience: 3 yrs
Providing compassionate support to seniors is my true calling. With three years of experience, I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those I serve. I hold a high school degree . My approach centers on patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor. I prioritize understanding your loved one's unique personal history to build a meaningful connection. I am highly skilled in managing dementia care, including de-escalating stressful situations and adapting to changing routines. Whether you need assistance with medical management, meal preparation, or transportation, I am here to help. I provide regular updates via your preferred communication method to ensure you always feel connected. I truly look forward to bringing warmth and reliable care into your home.
My family first met Sherry in late January 2026, a few months before my father entered hospice care for congestive heart failure. During the most difficult months our family has ever experienced, Sherry became an indispensable part of our lives. Like many families, we were worried about bringing someone we did not know into our home, but those concerns disappeared quickly when we met her. We found ourselves hoping each day that it would be Sherry walking through the door. My father suffered from aphasia and was often unable to communicate his needs, yet Sherry learned to recognize the smallest changes in his condition, whether fluid accumulating in his arm, signs of dehydration, or subtle changes in his posture or expression. She cared for him with full attentiveness, preserving his dignity, and keeping him safe and reassured. She instinctively knew how each of us needed support. I was especially struck that while caring for my father she spoke of another terminally ill client with the same affection, fierce sense of responsibility, and devotion, making it clear that this is simply who she is. The responsibility of accompanying a family through the death of someone they love cannot be overstated, and I still do not know quite how Sherry did it, but she helped carry us through one of the hardest experiences of our lives with extraordinary steadiness, compassion, and humanity. She did not lessen our grief, but she ensured it was never the only thing happening in our home. Because of her, warmth, laughter, storytelling, and genuine human connection survived alongside the hardship. Looking back, I realize she did far more than provide exceptional care. She helped us accompany my father through the final months of his life with dignity, and our family will always be grateful for her.
