About Sherry

I've always been passionate about working with the elderly. I initially entered this field in 1991 as a CNA at and worked for 2 years. This past year after working as a receptionist at a care center, I realized how much I missed interacting with the residents in a care-giving capacity. I left my desk job to complete my degree to become re-certified as a CNA, and spent a year working at a care center. As a CNA I've had the opportunity to prepare food and feed residents, change beds, dress residents including special considerations, transport them, bathe/shower and morning/bedtime routine. I understand the extra care that is needed for many senior citizens who are struggling with added mental or physical limitations, and how emotionally taxing this can be on their families. I really enjoy having the opportunity to get to know these individuals and their families, share in their stories, and make a difference in their day to day lives.
