About Sherlyn

Hi! I'm a psychology graduate (B. S.) with a lifelong passion for working with children and families. As the oldest of seven siblings, I helped care for my six younger brothers and sisters-from infancy through their teen years-giving me hands-on experience with kids at every developmental stage. I've built on that foundation professionally: I taught kids' ministry for 3 years (ages 1-9), tutored 3rd-6th graders, and currently work as a behavior technician with 4-6-year-olds. I'm CPR certified. I specialize in Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, and Study Skills for elementary and middle school learners. I break complex concepts into manageable steps, connect them to each student's interests, and adapt my approach (visual aids, hands-on activities, or discussion) to fit their learning style. Clear communication builds the trust we need to reach your goals together, and there's nothing more rewarding than watching that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks.
