I'm Sheri I have worked in area off and on for over 35 yrs, My biological Mother was born with developmental delays, didn't have clear speech, didn't read nor write, later I was told she was mentally ill. Well in this case she was my first patient I worked with her everyday how to say her name, how to write her name everything I patiently and my love for her she learned to write her name and know her name when she saw it. Working in Nursing Home Facilities I learned how to calm, patient, repositiong, Blood Sugar texting, you will work with some patients that may be Blind. I had to do Ambulation, I cared for Cognitive Disabilities (Asthma, add to adhd, Cerebral Palsy. I have taken care of Newborn Babies born with Down Syndrome, G tube.
