About Shelsyn

Unlocking your child's unique potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of experience supporting elementary students, I create an engaging, patient environment where complex concepts become manageable steps. I tailor my methods to each student by observing how they interact with new material, whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or open discussion. I prioritize clear communication with families to build trust and ensure we are aligned on your child's goals. By connecting challenging topics to personal interests and celebrating small wins, I help students develop the critical thinking skills they need for long-term success. I am comfortable working with pets and am happy to meet at your home, a library, or any community space. Seeing a student's confidence bloom as they master a new skill is what makes this work truly meaningful to me.
